Tupelo dealing with vandalism and more at several of its parks

Mississippi soldiers return home in time for the holidays
SUMMARY: As the Christmas holiday approaches, over 70 soldiers from the 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team and the Mississippi National Guard returned home to Central Mississippi after an 11-month deployment in support of Operation Spartan Shield. Many soldiers had been deployed even longer. The plane landed at the Air National Guard Base in Flowood, bringing joy to families awaiting their loved ones. One soldier reflected on being away for Thanksgiving and Christmas the previous year, expressing joy for their return just in time for the holidays, highlighting the significance of being home with family and friends during this special time.
