Small Business Saturday: How a Frankfort craft distillery offers a unique experience for its visitor

Visitors can fill their own bottles directly from the barrels, creating memorable smiles and engagement not found at larger distilleries. The tour also showcases the distilling process from field to bottle, as the distillery grows its own corn for bourbon. Since new ownership in 2021, visitor numbers have surged from 8,000 to an estimated 54,000. Although Whiskey Thief has opened a second tasting room in Louisville, the full experience remains at its Frankfurt location.

The distillery offers a unique tour and tasting experience to its visitors that you can’t get in a major distillery.
