SUMMARY: Prosecutors have dropped all federal charges against President-elect Donald Trump, following a decision by special counsel Jack Smith to dismiss two cases involving alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election and mishandling classified documents. This aligns with the Department of Justice’s policy against prosecuting sitting presidents.
