Woman attacked while chaperoning Atlanta field trip | FOX 5 News
SUMMARY: Atlanta police are searching for a man who violently attacked a 53-year-old tourist, Mrs. Griffith, in front of the World of Coke during midday. The unprovoked incident occurred as she walked with a sixth grader and a parent, resulting in multiple broken bones in her jaw. Her husband, Tim Griffith, expressed his shock and fear, noting the attack happened in a busy area. Mrs. Griffith was rushed to Grady hospital for treatment and remains in recovery. Tim emphasizes the need for accountability and the importance of safety in the community, particularly during daylight hours.
A Savannah resident was serving as a chaperone for a group of sixth graders visiting the World of Coca-Cola when she was allegedly attacked at random and rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Closing arguments begin in Georgia’s longest-running trial

Georgia labor commissioner, Thompson, dies | Georgia
SUMMARY: Georgia Labor Commissioner Bruce Thompson, 59, passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer, which he publicly disclosed in March. A respected businessman and community leader, Thompson served in the state Senate from 2013 to 2023 before becoming Labor Commissioner.
