Suspects wanted after deadly officer-involved shooting in McComb
SUMMARY: An officer-involved shooting in McComb, Mississippi, resulted in one suspect’s death on November 14. Police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of 25th Street, where two suspects exited. One suspect threatened officers with a weapon, leading to the officers shooting him. SUMMARY: Cristian Mitchel Mondragon Gonzales, 29, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder related to a 2018 homicide on the Natchez Trace Parkway. Following a fight at a party on September 23, 2018, Gonzales pursued the victim, convincing him to go for a ride. He then shot the victim multiple times after they exited the vehicle. The victim was found the next morning. Gonzales faces a maximum penalty of life in prison and is scheduled for sentencing on February 12, 2025. The case was investigated by the FBI, Natchez Trace Parkway police, and Ridgeland police.
