11/6 – Remaining warm and humid with showers / Tracking Rafael
SUMMARY: Hurricane Raphael, currently a Category 2 storm with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph, is moving northwest in the Gulf of Mexico. While it is expected to maintain or possibly strengthen slightly, the forecast models predict a westward movement with some uncertainty as steering flows weaken. Fortunately, it likely won’t pose a threat to local areas. Showers are anticipated due to a stalled front nearby, with a chance of scattered rain continuing into the weekend. Temperatures will range in the mid-70s to low 80s, followed by a potential cooling trend next week, bringing more seasonable temperatures.
