Voting on Election Day
SUMMARY: On Election Day, a voting expert discusses key points for first-time voters. Common concerns include finding their precinct, potential long lines, and wearing candidate-specific attire, which is not allowed at polling places. Voters should choose times like mid-morning or early afternoon to avoid lines, as polls are open from 7 AM to 7 PM. It’s crucial to vote, as it affects local communities, and even if dissatisfied with candidates, participation is a civic duty. Voters can also curbside vote if needed. There are no specific COVID restrictions, but individuals may wear masks if desired.
