“There is a man here trying to use your ID” Suspect caught in Elberta using stolen ID at victims wor
SUMMARY: In Alberta, a man named Michael Kolic found a wallet in a parking lot containing cash, credit cards, and personal identification. He attempted to use this ID belonging to pharmacist Lisa Madden to fill a prescription at the very pharmacy where she worked. After Madden was informed by a coworker about Kolic’s visit, she confronted him, noticing discrepancies in his appearance compared to the ID photo. Kolic admitted to using Madden’s ID but claimed it was a simple mix-up. He was arrested while leaving the pharmacy. Madden lost $50 but received her wallet back and wished Kolic well despite his legal troubles.
At one time or another everyone has lost their keys or misplaced their wallet but finding them again has probably never been as crazy as what happened in Elberta and it’s landed one man behind bars facing felony charges.

Potential record-breaking voter turnout could cause increased security issues
SUMMARY: With just five days until the election, Alabama anticipates record voter turnout, particularly in Jefferson County, which has over half a million registered voters. Officials expect over 300,000 to participate, leading to potential traffic congestion at polling places. They are preparing for this influx with training for poll workers and coordination with local law enforcement to ensure security, although no issues are anticipated. Voters are encouraged to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Alabama lacks early voting but allows in-person absentee voting at county courthouses before election day. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Law enforcement officials tell voters to stay vigilant and report anything suspicious at polling places.

Voters can bring their phones but cannot take photos or livestream inside the polling precinct. They may share images of themselves voting but not of their ballots or any election equipment. Voters carrying firearms should verify local rules, especially in restricted areas like schools. Following these guidelines will ensure a smooth voting experience.
