SUMMARY: Tonight, winds are preventing fog formation, although patchy fog may develop late tonight and early tomorrow. Current winds are around 10-15 mph, with mild temperatures in the 70s and dew points near 70. Tomorrow has a 20% chance of isolated showers, and small craft advisories remain in effect. A burn ban is active due to recent dryness. For Halloween, rain is likely in the afternoon, but conditions should improve during trick-or-treating hours. In the coming week, humidity persists with a 40% chance of potential system development in the Gulf, but limited concerns for the area.

Meteorologist Devon Lucie shows us the first showers we’ve had since October 4th, then jumps right into the high resolution forecast showing what the prospects for fog look like on Wednesday morning, then what rain chances appear to be during the day and how warm it will be. The walks us through the Halloween forecast showing the timing for rain and possible thunderstorms and a break down of the hour-by-hour forecast for anything you’ve got planned that evening or night. Then finishes with your seven day forecast showing what’s beyond the holiday, the weekend, and a glimpse into next week.

SUMMARY: Meteorologist Mia Montgomery reports a cool Thursday in San Antonio, with morning temperatures in the upper 30s and a light freeze in the Hill Country, marking the coldest morning since February. Sunny, dry conditions helped afternoon highs reach the low 70s. Temperatures will dip into the upper 50s by 8 p.m. and low to mid-50s by late evening. The coming days will remain chilly, with highs rebounding into the mid to upper 70s. A potential cold front may impact the area around Thanksgiving, but no rain is expected, and severe drought conditions persist.

After the coldest morning since February, low humidity, sunshine, and calm winds will help temperatures warm into the pleasant low 70s this afternoon. A gradual warming trend takes shape over the next several days as we monitor another front sometime around Thanksgiving. Here’s an update with Mia.

www.youtube.com – WWLTV – 2024-11-21 07:12:44

SUMMARY: In Southeast Louisiana, fried turkeys are a Thanksgiving tradition, but safety is crucial. To ensure a safe deep-frying experience, it’s important to use a completely thawed turkey to avoid oil splattering, which can lead to fires. A general guideline for thawing is one day for every 4 to 5 pounds of turkey; for instance, a 16-pound turkey requires four days to fully thaw. Additionally, always turn off the fryer before lowering the turkey and never leave it unattended during the cooking process.

Fried turkey’s are a longtime staple on thanksgiving tables- especially here in Louisiana.
