Moss Point residents speak on alligator sightings
SUMMARY: Residents in Moss Point along River Road are increasingly concerned about the recent uptick in alligator sightings. While alligator encounters are not uncommon in the area, multiple sightings over the past week have raised alarms. Local residents, Karen and Fred Amos, have lived there for nine years without serious incidents but remain cautious, particularly for neighbors with pets. Moss Point Animal Control advises residents to be mindful of their surroundings, avoid approaching alligators, and report sightings. As colder months approach, alligators may venture out of water for warmth, increasing the likelihood of encounters.

New Mississippi-developed health app helps patients track medical information
SUMMARY: A new app called “My Doc Said” has been developed in Mississippi to help patients keep track of vital medical information. Dr. Theodore, a cardiac surgeon with nearly 40 years of experience, noted that patients often forget 90% of their doctor conversations due to anxiety and stress. The app allows users to record and transcribe conversations with healthcare providers, summarizing the information into bullet points for easier understanding. It also provides credible resources to explain medical jargon. The app is available on Google Play and iOS, offers a free month, and includes secure login features for data protection.
With our lives getting busier each day, it can get difficult to remember valuable information like medical records, but a new phone app helps with that.
