SUMMARY: A man is in custody following a tense incident that began with a traffic stop in Hart County, Kentucky. Kentucky State Police reported that the suspect, armed with a gun, fought with a trooper and fled the scene, traveling more than 20 miles before crashing his vehicle near Glendale. After abandoning his car, he ran into a field, prompting a large-scale search. An active shooter alert was issued at the nearby Blue Oval Battery Plant, where employees were directed to stay inside. The man was ultimately arrested around 7 PM near South Dixie Highway and I-65. Further charges are pending.
