Woman dies after being hit by vehicle on East Broadway
SUMMARY: A fatal accident occurred this morning at Barrett and Broadway, where a woman was struck by a car while crossing the street. The incident took place around 8:00 AM in the 1100 block of East Broadway. Emergency services pronounced the woman dead at the scene, and no other vehicles were involved. The driver is reportedly cooperating with law enforcement. The road remains closed for approximately another hour and a half as investigations continue. 3 seriously hurt in semi crash on Bluegrass Parkway
SUMMARY: Three people sustained serious injuries in a crash on the Bluegrass Parkway in Anderson County this morning around 6:30 a.m. The accident involved a semi-truck, which overturned and caught fire, and a pickup truck near mile marker 46. Firefighters from the Anderson County Fire Protection District responded to the scene. Traffic is backed up, and drivers are advised to detour at Exit 42 for eastbound travel and Exit 48 for westbound travel as the investigation continues. Further details about the cause of the crash are still being determined.
The Anderson County Fire Protection District said that the pickup truck crashed into the trailer after the semi hit a bridge pillar on Carey Mill Road, flipped on its side, and caught fire.

Robertson County sheriff avoids jail time in 2 DUI cases
SUMMARY: Kentucky Sheriff Terry Gray will avoid jail time after entering an Alfred plea in two DUI cases. He was sentenced to two years of probation, ordered to pay $1,600 in court fees, and required to attend rehabilitation. Gray’s arrests include an incident in August when he ran a tractor off the road and another arrest in December following an altercation outside a school, where his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
