Toulmin Avenue house fire 3rd since homeowner moved in

SUMMARY: A of six in Tolman Ville is safe after a house fire broke out on Tolman Avenue around 9:30 AM. This incident marks the third fire at the home, with previous fires attributed to electrical issues. The family’s four were playing outside while their were at work when they received of the blaze. Mobile Fire Rescue responded quickly, extinguishing the flames, which melted siding on a neighboring house. Fortunately, the family escaped unharmed, though they are left shaken. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, and Alabama Power disabled a burnt power line.

The homeowner said a Wednesday morning house fire is the third fire she’s been through at that house.

SUMMARY: A Warren County corrections officer was after being punched in the face by inmate Ja’Marr Wilkerson while responding to an inmate fight on Sunday. The officer sustained facial injuries but was able to detain Wilkerson, who now faces a charge of second-degree assault in addition to his existing charges.
