Bond set for man accused of killing 1-month-old twins last year
SUMMARY: Fernando Vega is accused of killing his one-month-old twins and is currently held on a $3 million bond. In court today, he faces two capital murder charges and two counts of injury to a child. The twins were found unresponsive last October, suffering from severe injuries, including brain trauma and broken bones. Prosecutors allege that Vega was the last person to see them alive. Texas DPS: Over 443,000 criminal noncitizens booked in Texas jails | Texas

Huge E.coli outbreak in McDonald's food
SUMMARY: E. coli food poisoning linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounder hamburgers has affected at least 49 people across 10 states, with one reported death and 10 hospitalizations. Infections occurred between September 27 and October 11, primarily in the West and Midwest. Early investigations suggest onions on the burgers may be the contamination source, prompting McDonald’s to remove slithered onions and temporarily pull the Quarter Pounder from select locations. Symptoms include severe stomach cramps, fever, and vomiting. Other menu items remain unaffected, and McDonald’s is working to restore its full menu while emphasizing its commitment to food safety.
1 person is dead, 10 are hospitalized, and 50 are sick with E.coli after an outbreak in McDonald’s food.
