Behind the Business: Knight Poultry
SUMMARY: In tonight’s “Behind the Business,” we visit Knight’s Poultry in Soer, where Britney Knight manages a thriving chicken business from her garage and backyard. What began as a hobby in 2020, with just 15 chickens, has expanded to nearly 100 chickens and the sale of 100 chicks weekly. Knight balances her responsibilities as a wife, mother, and student while caring for the chickens, which includes feeding, rotating, and incubating eggs. Despite entering the off-season for egg production, she continues to follow a meticulous process for hatching and raising chickens, showcasing her dedication to the growth of her mini farm.
In Saucier, one woman is busy taking care of babies — the kind that are nestled in an egg before hatching.
