New Orleans Weather: Warming up this week into the 80s with no rain
SUMMARY: The weather forecast indicates warm temperatures in the 80s with plenty of sunshine and low humidity, continuing dry conditions until the end of the month. An upper ridge of high pressure is established, leading to a quiet weather pattern across the Deep South. Currently, there is no drought in Southeast Louisiana or south Mississippi, although some areas are abnormally dry. This wet year has left most regions with a significant rain surplus. While October and November are typically dry months, the winter outlook predicts warmer and drier conditions, potentially affecting the NorthShore. No tropical threats are anticipated for the Gulf Coast.
WWL Louisiana Meteorologist Alexa Trischler says expect plenty of sunshine and nice weather over the next week.

Staying sunny but slightly warmer
SUMMARY: Southeastern Louisiana is experiencing sunny weather as temperatures warm into the lower 80s on the North Shore and mid-70s on the South Shore. Clear skies are expected tonight, with lows in the upper 40s to 60s, depending on the area. This pattern will continue into the week with mild conditions and no rain in sight due to high pressure in control. In the tropics, Hurricane Oscar is approaching eastern Cuba with winds of 80 mph and is forecasted to move west-southwest, eventually making a northeasterly turn. Warnings are in effect for eastern Cuba and tropical storm watches for the central Bahamas.

SUMMARY: Soda Jerk, a mobile dirty soda business in West Monroe, has gained immense popularity since its launch a few months ago. Founders Teal Hoffman and Moren Benson, inspired by Montana’s soda culture, decided to fill a local gap. Despite initial challenges, including mastering their soda fountain mechanics, they overcame obstacles with determination and commitment. The community’s enthusiastic response exceeded their expectations, with long lines from the start. The sisters encourage others to pursue their dreams fearlessly and plan to establish a permanent location while continuing to operate their beloved pink truck.
