Despite a strong ground game from Kenyan Clay and a touchdown from freshman Jaylen Washington, the defense faltered again, allowing the Red Wolves to pull ahead. Coach Will Hall acknowledged the fans’ frustrations, emphasizing his commitment to the team’s improvement. Players supported Hall, but with an upcoming matchup against James Madison, Southern Miss faces challenges in hopes of salvaging their season and avoiding a second consecutive year without a bowl game.
