Two named storms in the Atlantic do not seem to pose a risk to Florida

SUMMARY: Meteorologist Jason Adams provided a tropical , discussing Hurricane Oscar, which rapidly intensified to a category 1 hurricane with 85 mph winds, impacting the Turks and Caicos. Notably, the hurricane’s force winds extend only five miles, making it unusually small. Currently moving , it poses no threat to Florida due to a cold front creating a blocking high pressure. Oscar is expected to turn northeast and stay off the Atlantic coast. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Nen has made landfall in Belize, moving towards southern Mexico, but outside these , the Atlantic remains calm. Updates on Oscar will continue.

Tax relief for those impacted by recent hurricanes

In the wake of devastating hurricanes Milton and Helene, Hillsborough County Property Appraiser Bob Henriquez has created a coalition of local with the aim of providing tax relief for area home and business owners who have suffered property damage.

Local More Than Pink Walk raises money for breast cancer
