Is Nadine going to form?
SUMMARY: The southeast is expected to have favorable weather throughout the weekend. Attention is on an area in the Caribbean that has a 70% chance of developing into a named storm. If it forms, it will head westward toward Mexico rather than the Gulf of Mexico, bringing significant rain to that region but not affecting the United States. If this system becomes a named storm, it will be called Nadine. Overall, the weather outlook remains positive for the southeastern U.S. while the Caribbean system approaches.
Less than 10 days removed from Milton’s destructive landfall in Florida, the next tropical depression, Nadine, could form in the Caribbean Sea this weekend.

Parents accused of locking kids in bedrooms for days | FOX 5 News
SUMMARY: In Carroll County, deputies have charged parents James and Cindy Spooner with child cruelty and false imprisonment after allegedly locking their four teenage children in their rooms for extended periods as a form of discipline. Investigators found deadbolts on the outside of the children’s doors, and the exterior windows and doors were boarded to prevent escape. The teens were reportedly confined with only a bucket for sanitation and limited access to food. The children are now in the custody of child protective services. A parenting coach highlighted the need for active parenting, emphasizing that the situation indicates an overwhelmed family in need of help.
Deputies have accused a mother and father of crossing the line when it comes to discipline. Investigators allege the parents locked their children in their rooms sometimes for days.
