Another month goes by and Texas keeps breaking jobs records | Texas

SUMMARY: In September, achieved record highs in employment, with 14,289,900 total nonfarm and 14,819,800 people working, marking the largest labor force in history at 15,449,900. Governor Greg Abbott emphasized Texas as a national model for job growth fueled by entrepreneurial spirit and for high-demand jobs. The state added 29,200 nonfarm jobs and saw an annual growth rate of 2.3%, outpacing the national average. Key sectors contributing to job growth included Professional and Business Services and Private Education and Services. Texas’ unemployment rate was 4.1%, slightly higher than the national rate of 3.9%.

Mission of San Antonioโ€™s historic Ursuline Academy resonates with its alums 50 years later

Although Ursuline Academy closed in 1992, its legacy continues at its former sites. The reunion includes campus tours and for the Class of 1974, reflecting on their educational experiences and the Academy’s rich history in the community. Graduates like Patty Alzando reminisce about their time at the school, which operated for 141 years and recently transformed into Somerset Academy Collegiate.
