Illegal dumping becoming a issue in Forrest County
SUMMARY: Illegal dumping is a growing issue in Forest County, creating significant problems for local road crews. Supervisor Gentry Mora highlights that these sites are environmentally harmful, visually unappealing, and costly for taxpayers. Recent observations reveal various discarded items, including furniture and appliances. Mora encourages residents facing disposal challenges to utilize county services, emphasizing that help is available for removing vegetative debris and white goods. Taxpayer contributions fund these services, although there are specific guidelines for what the county will collect. Residents can find more information on disposal criteria on the county’s website.
