Police pursued prodigious pig in Columbus
SUMMARY: Columbus police recently engaged in an unusual pursuit involving a runaway hog named Bobo, weighing between 700 and 800 pounds. After escaping from a pen in the New Hope area, Bobo eluded capture for about eight days, even being spotted near a daycare. Officers, prompted by the police chief to apply their “country boy expertise,” teamed up with animal control to wrangle the spirited pig. After a challenging chase through the woods, they successfully caught Bobo, who will soon be sent to a meat processor. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the adventurous ordeal.
Police officers in Columbus sure do have a wild story to tell.

Investigation underway after 3 killed in bridge collapse
SUMMARY: A bridge collapse over the Strong River near D’Lo Water Park resulted in three fatalities and four injuries. An inspector from MDOT was present during the incident. The bridge, which hadn’t been in use since September 18th, was in the process of being demolished when it fell, leaving debris on construction equipment. 3 dead, 4 injured after Strong River bridge collapses
