EMCC receives grant for funding nursing programs on campus
SUMMARY: East Mississippi Community College (EMCC) has received over $875,000 from the Appalachian Regional Commission to enhance its nursing program at the Scooba campus. The funding will be utilized to purchase new equipment and hire additional nursing instructors, contributing to the growth of the nursing and health sciences program. This grant is part of a wider $68.2 million package allocated for 65 economic revitalization projects across 10 states, including Mississippi. Notably, EMCC is the only project in Mississippi to receive funding through the Appalachian Regional Commission’s partnership for opportunity, workforce, and economic revitalization initiative known as Power.

Case manager explains how safe haven helps with domestic abuse

Toyota Mississippi helps teach life skills to High School students
