Local organization aims to provide 40 tons of food for families in need this Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, local organization Families Helping Families is hard at work, preparing to provide 40 tons of food to families in need across the Houston area. Founder Quincy Collins has been spearheading this effort for 11 years, but his mission to help others began long before that.
Collins first started feeding those in need when he was a child, inspired by his grandparents who would bring beef stew to feed people under the Uvalde Bridge in Houston. His passion for helping others grew over the years, eventually leading to the creation of the Houston organization. Families Helping Families provides food and support for families, particularly in Fort Bend County and Alief.
This Year’s Goal: Feed 1,500 Families

U.S. confirms North Korea troops are in Russia | FOX 7 Austin
