U.S. Army Corps of Engineers offers fire safety tips amid dry conditions
SUMMARY: Abner Sosa reports on the high wildfire danger due to dry and windy conditions. Chief Park Ranger Landon Thurman emphasizes the increased risk from low humidity and the absence of rain, warning that sparks from tires can ignite dry grass, leading to rapid fire spread. He highlights that open fires are prohibited in campgrounds, but charcoal and propane grills are allowed if used cautiously. Thurman advises keeping a close eye on burning charcoal and embers, especially on windy days, as they can quickly escalate fire hazards. The Army Corps of Engineers remains vigilant during this elevated fire risk period.

Space X successfully lands rocket after takeoff
SUMMARY: SpaceX achieved a milestone in developing fully reusable rockets by successfully launching its Starship Rocket, which showcased the first stage booster landing back at the launch pad just 7 minutes post-takeoff. Mechanical arms assisted in the recovery, while the booster slowed down from over 600 mph for a controlled descentโmarking a historic first. SpaceX aims to create the world’s largest and most powerful rocket, capable of carrying 100 metric tons into orbit, far surpassing any previous spacecraft.
