FEMA workers receive threat, change efforts

Nashville police arrest two suspects wanted out of Memphis
SUMMARY: Metro Police arrested two fugitives, 23-year-old Cayman Carwell and 20-year-old Marvin Roper, wanted out of Memphis for multiple serious charges. Following hours of surveillance at a short-term rental in Donaldson, officials confirmed the suspects’ presence inside the property on Fitzgerald Drive. Carwell surrendered to police, while Roper was located hiding in the attic. Carwell faces charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault, while Roper is wanted for offenses such as evading arrest and vehicle burglary. Both are currently being held without bond at the Davidson County Jail.
The Metro Nashville Police Department apprehended two suspects wanted out of Memphis on Friday.

Former Kentucky police officer convicted on federal charges
SUMMARY: Former Kentucky police officer Brett Hinson has been convicted on federal charges for using excessive force during a botched 2020 drug raid that resulted in the death of Breonna Taylor in her Louisville apartment. Hinson, 48, fired 10 shots into Taylor’s door and windows, although he did not hit anyone. His defense claimed he acted to protect fellow officers after Taylor’s boyfriend fired at them. The jury’s emotional response was noted as this marks the first conviction of a Louisville officer linked to the deadly raid. Hinson faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
