Bond set for woman charged in fatal stabbing
SUMMARY: In a recent court hearing, 22-year-old Destiny Gibson was charged with the murder of 22-year-old Christopher Borras, following a deadly stabbing at a McDonald’s in Jackson. Eyewitnesses described the attack, captured on video, as brutal. Police Chief Joseph Wade stated the two did not know each other, and the altercation began over a verbal exchange while Gibson used the restaurant’s Wi-Fi. The judge ruled that Gibson poses a danger to the community, setting her bond at $2 million. The incident sheds light on the ongoing issue of violence in the city.

The Union Yellow Jackets faced off against the Ingamar Falcons in a close and intense match, ultimately falling to the Falcons, also 3-1. Additionally, Nooba Central’s season ended with a loss to the Gators, 3-0. However, the Lake Hornets triumphed over St. Andrew’s Episcopal, securing a spot in the State Championship with a 3-1 victory. Congratulations to the Hornets, who will compete on Thursday at noon!

Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann recognized local schools with High Attendance rates
