Canton man sentenced for sexually abusing minor
SUMMARY: Eugene Wilson, a 62-year-old man from Canton, pled guilty to one count of gratification of lust of a minor in Madison County Circuit Court. He was sentenced to 15 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections and will register as a sex offender upon release. The abuse was reported by the victim’s family after a recording revealed an attempted assault on May 20, 2023. The victim disclosed that the sexual abuse began when she was 12 and continued for nearly two years, with multiple incidents of inappropriate contact until December 2023.

Man wanted for cow theft in Noxubee County
