Meridian Police Department releases a photo of the wanted suspect
SUMMARY: On Sunday afternoon, the Meridian Police Department responded to a shooting in the 2500 block of 36th Street around 5:15 p.m., where two individuals were shot. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, and one was later airlifted to Jackson. MPD Chief Deborah Young stated that the incident is considered isolated. Authorities, including the Marine Police Department SWAT team, are searching for 32-year-old suspect David Alexander, who is 5’7โ, weighs 180 lbs, and has brown eyes, originally from Hattiesburg. The investigation is ongoing; anyone with information is encouraged to contact MPD or Crime Stoppers.

Dixie Electric lineman helping restore power in Florida week before wedding
