Wheeler Dam Drowning Update | October 13, 2024 | WHNT News 19 Sunday Evening
SUMMARY: During a recent cross-country meet, new details emerged about a drowning incident at the Wheeler Dam. According to the Lawrence County coroner, Dennis Kneale drowned after a fishing boat he was on capsized. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that the boat’s trolling motor failed, leading to the vessel being drawn into the dam’s generators and overturning. Search teams successfully located the other two passengers onboard, but Kneale tragically did not survive.

Police continue to investigate murder in Bay Minette
