Coastal leaders eyeing labeling laws to remedy public distrust amid seafood misbranding scandal

SUMMARY: A seafood misbranding scheme involving popular Biloxi restaurant Mary Mahoney’s Old French House has tarnished the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s food scene. A subsequent study by SeaD Consulting revealed that 82% of local restaurants mislabel seafood.
