Richard Glossip case goes before the Supreme Court
SUMMARY: Richard Glossip, a high-profile Oklahoma death row inmate, was argued before the U.S. Supreme Court regarding his 1997 conviction for the murder of his former boss, Barry Van Trees. Glossip’s attorneys seek a new trial, citing new evidence indicating that key witness Justin Sneed, who admitted to the murder, lied about his psychiatric history during the trial. They argue that Sneed’s undisclosed bipolar disorder and lithium prescription could have influenced the jury’s decision. While Glossip maintains his innocence, the Supreme Court is expected to rule on the case by June, though a decision may come sooner.

New details after Election Day terror plot foiled
SUMMARY: New details have emerged regarding a foiled election day terror plot involving an Afghan man living in Oklahoma and a minor virtual student. Court documents reveal the Afghan national, who is on a special immigrant visa, was allegedly motivated by the ease of purchasing firearms in the state. Oklahoma’s Attorney General, Get Your Drummond, has blamed the Biden administration’s refugee resettlement program for the man’s presence, though program officials state there is no record of him. The FBI has described the plot as ISIS-inspired, highlighting the concerning access to weapons and online searches related to gun laws and purchases.
