Bond set for Ellisville man charged with home repair fraud
SUMMARY: Laurel police have charged 35-year-old Daniel Faircloth with home repair fraud after he allegedly took thousands from a victim for an unpaid remodeling job. The investigation began in July when Faircloth was reported for not completing the agreed-upon work despite receiving payment. He was arrested by the Newton Police Department before being transferred to Laurel police, where he was booked into county jail. The victim’s losses exceeded $10,000. Faircloth’s bond was set at $5,000. Police believe his actions constituted fraud, as there was no reasonable excuse for the lack of progress on the project.
