SUMMARY: Happy Friday! The morning weather sees temperatures in the low to mid-50s across various locations, with a beautiful sunrise. Expect a gradual rise to mid-70s by 11 a.m. Today‘s forecast predicts a high of 84°, with clear skies and smooth commutes. Ideal for football games tonight, temperatures will start at 74° and drop to 62-64° by the end. A cold front arrives Monday, causing temperatures to dip significantly, with highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s later in the week. Saturday will remain warm around 86°, while the following week will be a noticeable shift in temperatures.

In private school action, Jackson Prep dominated PCS, winning 56-10, and Tri-County beat Clinton Christian 48-6. Cathedral fell to St. Joe 31-28. The feature player was Callaway’s Marvin Moore, who scored multiple touchdowns, showcasing the strength of local football talent.

'Scary Movie Saturday' set for Town Square Park in Hattiesburg

10/11 Highlights: Columbia v. Forrest County AHS
SUMMARY: This season, Colombia aims to demonstrate their championship potential with a blend of youth and experience under new leadership. Meanwhile, Forest County is focused on showcasing their grit, hoping to end a three-year losing streak against the Wildcats during homecoming night in Brooklyn, coinciding with the crowning of Claire Garcia as homecoming queen. The Wildcats struck first with Trey Lewis, who scored a 34-yard touchdown. After an interception thrown by Parks Brock, the Wildcats quickly capitalized, leading to another touchdown. Colombia secured their first district victory convincingly, finishing the game 24-6, making a strong statement as the reigning 4A South state champs.
