'Scary Movie Saturday' set for Town Square Park in Hattiesburg

Hattiesburg VFW hurricane relief drive wrapping up Saturday

SUMMARY: The Hattiesburg area community is actively organizing a Hurricane Relief effort for Florida storm survivors, culminating in an all-day disaster relief at VFW Post 3036. Initially, supplies were scarce, but community has surged, providing food, clothing, hygiene products, and pet supplies. VFW member Dick Vogle has sourced additional items with donated funds from local . The collected supplies will be shipped to St. Petersburg, Florida, where a VFW Post will distribute them. The drive runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Donations are also being accepted through Grey and the Salvation Army.

Latest Hattiesburg Fire Department recruit training underway
