Friday 5 am Tropical Update: No threats in the tropics after Milton dissipates
SUMMARY: Tropical Storm Leslie continues to spin in the tropics without immediate threats, as there is currently no significant development in the Caribbean. Despite speculation on social media, models do not indicate any upcoming storms following Milton, the last named storm. A cool front is expected to stall and suppress tropical activity for a few days. However, by next week, the Northwest Caribbean may see some activity, indicating that hurricane season is still ongoing. Florida remains a potential target into November, but for now, there’s no immediate concern regarding new developments.
Hurricane season isn’t over yet, but there are no big threats through early next week.

Thursday 10pm Tropical Update: TS Sara likely to dissipate this weekend
SUMMARY: Out of the 11 named storms this season, 11 have become hurricanes, but Tropical Storm Sara is not expected to strengthen much further. It will mainly bring heavy rain to Central America, particularly Honduras, and then move toward Belize and the Yucatan. Due to its proximity to land, further intensification is unlikely, though a brief window for strengthening exists if it moves away from the coast. The storm is expected to dissipate by Sunday, with no Gulf of Mexico impact, though its remnants may affect forecasts later next week.
Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin says Tropical Storm Sara likely to dissipate this weekend on Sunday as it starts to move into the Yucatán.
