Northern lights forecast
SUMMARY: Recently, there was excitement about the Northern Lights, with many people talking about the strong storm that led to impressive visibility even in southern areas. While some observers needed their phones to see the display, it offered a rare opportunity for a spectacular show. The geomagnetic activity is still present but less intense than the previous night, rated around a 5 on the K index, which diminishes optimal viewing conditions. Those seeking to catch a glimpse of the lights should head to locations far from city lights, particularly in Missouri and Illinois, for the best chance.
Will you be able to see the aurora borealis again tonight? Well, it depends where you are.
