Kentucky woman arrested after dismembered body parts found 'cooked' inside oven
SUMMARY: Last night, Fox 56 was the only Lexington station reporting on a disturbing incident in Robertson County, where police discovered a dismembered body at a home. Around 12:30 PM, Kentucky State Police received a call about the gruesome find on Briarly Ridge Road. Officers found severed arms, legs, and a head in the backyard alongside a blood-soaked mattress with more body parts. The suspect, Torina Mayfield Fields, was found in the house covered in blood and resisted arrest until police used tear gas. New exotic veterinarian is filling a need in southeast Kentucky
SUMMARY: Southeast Kentucky welcomes Dr. Houston Wishm, an exotic veterinarian, addressing a critical need in the community and aiding the Wilderness Trail Wildlife Center, which relies on donations. Dr. Wishm specializes in caring for exotic pets like hedgehogs and guinea pigs, while also supporting local wildlife rehabilitation. Tanya Poindexter, who founded the nonprofit in 2016, previously traveled to West Virginia for veterinary services but is now in constant communication with Dr. Wishm. Together, they aim to change perceptions of local wildlife through educational events, fostering respect for Kentucky’s native species. Community excitement is building as residents finally have local exotic veterinary care.
From furry to feathered to even scaled friends, a checkup with Dr. Houston Wishmeier is wildly different than the average vet visit.
