An in depth, step by step look at Hurricane Milton
SUMMARY: Hurricane Milton is approaching landfall, expected within about an hour, with sustained winds at 120 mph. Despite showing signs of weakening, the storm continues to generate severe weather, including reported tornadoes in outer bands. Rainfall rates are alarming, with estimates reaching up to 17 inches in some areas. Wind gusts are strong, recorded at 125 mph, while storm surge in Tampa Bay may peak at 13 feet. Flood watches and warnings remain in effect as the storm moves northeast at 15 mph. The major impacts from the storm are anticipated to linger until Thursday afternoon.

KSAT viewer shares video of high-speed chase that led to deadly shooting
SUMMARY: A wanted felon and gang member was shot and killed by a deputy during a high-speed chase in Bear County. The incident began when the San Antonio police‘s Street Crimes Unit requested assistance in monitoring the 43-year-old suspect. The chase started on Cerville Road and ended at the intersection of Old Highway 90 and 151, where the suspect began ramming patrol cars. A deputy, fearing for his safety, fired multiple shots at the suspect, who died on the scene. A female passenger was shot in the leg and is expected to recover. The deputy, a veteran of 13 years, is on administrative leave.

SUMMARY: Hurricane Milton, a Category 3 storm with winds at 120 mph, is rapidly approaching the Florida coast, creating dire conditions for residents. Officials emphasize the urgency of evacuations, as even short distances inland can significantly improve safety amid flooding risks. With lingering debris from Hurricane Helen, Milton poses additional threats, including destructive storm surges and tornadoesโat one point, there were seven active tornado watches across South Florida.
