Participants from 11 districts in Mississippi’s Educators Rising programs engaged in sessions covering competitive , opportunities, professional attire, and effective pitching techniques. The conference, now in its second year, fostered connections among high school students interested in education careers. Universities, William Carey and Belhaven, presented scholarship opportunities for those completing their two-year educator preparation programs, enhancing students’ pathways to higher education in teaching. The aimed to inspire and inform future educators about available resources and opportunities.

Mississippi soldiers return home from training Ukrainian soldiers

SUMMARY: Dozens of Mississippi Army National Guard soldiers from the 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team have returned home after a 10-month deployment in Germany. and friends greeted them with cheers and tears of joy as the plane landed in . Emotions ran high during the heartfelt reunion, with one mother expressing her pride as she welcomed her son home. The soldiers had been Ukrainian military forces in strategic and operational maneuvers. The return was a celebratory filled with laughter, smiles, and many joyous moments shared among loved ones. It marked a significant homecoming for the extended families involved.

Families welcome home their loved ones who spent the last 10 months in Germany training Ukrainian soldiers.
