SUMMARY: Good morning! Temperatures started in the lower 40s and upper 30s, climbing to near 50 by afternoon. A chilly morning requires jackets, but it will warm up with clear blue skies. We’re currently monitoring Hurricane Milton, a category 4 storm with winds at 145 mph, predicted to strengthen to a category 5 before making landfall near Tampa between Cedar Key and Cape Coral. Locally, expect pleasant temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s, with mornings in the low to mid 40s. Warmer weather is anticipated this weekend, with highs reaching the upper 70s to near 80.

All eyes are on the tropics as Hurricane Milton continues to look menacing as it approaches the Florida coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Back in the Bluegrass, beautiful weather still holds, but a brief warm up is coming, followed by another blast of cool air. Stay tuned!
