SUMMARY: A chase involving Bear County deputies and San Antonio resulted in a , a 43-year-old gang member, being shot and killed after he allegedly rammed police vehicles. The pursuit was initiated after the police attempted to pull over his vehicle. After the suspect attempted to escape, a deputy fired at least five times, killing him. A female passenger was but survived. Additionally, 19 suspected members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua were in a separate incident at an apartment complex after over 1,500 police calls related to in the area over the past year.

Hurricane Milton remains Category 5 monster as it eyes Florida

SUMMARY: Florida’s Coast, from Tampa to Fort Myers, is preparing for Hurricane Milton, now a category five storm. With landfall expected overnight Wednesday, businesses are boarding up and gas stations are overwhelmed by evacuees. Eleven counties, home to 6 million , are under mandatory evacuation orders due to -threatening conditions, up to a of rain and 15 feet of storm surge. Emotional strain is evident as many face a second hurricane in two weeks. Despite warnings, some are reluctant to evacuate. The hurricane hunters are collecting critical data, revealing the storm may weaken to a category four at landfall.

Much of Florida’s West Coast is bracing for Hurricane Milton. The monster storm upgraded again to a Category Five Tuesday afternoon.

$766K for unfinished park project: KPRC 2 Investigates Houston Housing Authority
