Election 2024: Greene seeking third term in Georgia’s 14th | Georgia
SUMMARY: In Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is favored to secure her third term against Democrat Shawn Harris. Greene has a considerable fundraising advantage, raising $6.3 million compared to Harris’s $522,000. The district leans heavily Republican, and Greene has significant name recognition. Running on a platform of defunding the FBI and impeaching President Biden, she has positioned herself as a prominent figure in the “America First” movement. Conversely, Harris criticizes Greene as the “most toxic member of Congress,” advocating for healthcare access and infrastructure improvements. Greene previously won nearly 66% of the vote in 2022.

Election 2024: Redistricting shakes up Georgia’s 6th Congressional | Georgia
SUMMARY: Georgia’s 6th Congressional District is undergoing a potential party flip due to redistricting. Current Republican representative Rich McCormick is running for District 7, while Democrat Lucy McBath aims to reclaim her former District 6 seat. McBath, who previously won in 2018 and 2020, had a strong showing in the spring primary with over 60,000 votes. Her policies focus on LGBTQ+ rights and gun violence prevention. Opponent Jeff Criswell, a newcomer and self-identified conservative leader, emphasizes issues like the economy and parental rights. Despite possible shifts, experts predict minimal changes to Georgia’s U.S. House delegation, currently dominated by Republicans.
