SUMMARY: Today marks one year since Hamas’s surprise attack on Israel, which initiated a prolonged conflict resulting in over 12,200 fatalities, mostly civilians, and the abduction of 250 individuals. Amid ongoing violence, a delegation of Muslims, Jews, and Christians, part of the NGO Shiraka, is working globally to promote peace and understanding across cultures. Israeli delegate Ashley Waxman shared her personal tragedy, with her cousin still missing. Peace Ambassador Fama Al Harb emphasized the importance of dialogue in combating anti-Semitism.
