SUMMARY: Today marks one year since Hamas launched a devastating attack on Israel, resulting in around 12,200 deaths and nearly 250 hostages. Israelis gathered to honor victims, particularly the 400 killed at the Nova Music Festival. Families of hostages are demanding action outside Prime Minister Netanyahu’s home, with estimates suggesting a third of hostages are deceased. Retaliatory strikes by Israeli forces have led to significant casualties in Gaza, with over 41,000 Palestinians killed and millions displaced. Amid increased tensions with Hezbollah, Netanyahu praised the Israeli military’s efforts. Memorial candle-lighting ceremonies are taking place across U.S. communities to remember the victims.

FOX’s Chanley Painter has a breakdown of what’s happening now and the memorials to honor those who were killed.
