Sparks fly at Ingalls Shipbuilding; Project MFG welding competition
SUMMARY: Nineteen high school students participated in the Project MFG welding competition at Angles Shipbuilding, showcasing their skills in welding and manufacturing. Hosted to promote careers in the manufacturing industry, the event provided students from Pascagoula, Moss Point, and Alma Bryant high schools a practical glimpse of shipyard work. Participants followed a packet of instructions that tested their technique, equipment handling, and safety procedures. Alma Bryant senior Devon Chan theong emerged victorious, feeling surprised yet excited about winning. All competitors received contingent employment offers from Engles, with top winners getting welding toolkits and invitations to the Maritime National Championship.
With just two hours on the clock, a competition heats up between 19 students from Pascagoula-Gautier, Moss Point, and Alma Bryant High Schools.

Singing River holds 4th annual Sunset on Cancer Run for cancer survivors

Hundreds attend Walk to End Alzheimerโs, joining fight to end disease

The Association is funding critical research and providing support, having invested $430 million in 1,100 projects globally.
