Forecasts indicate a direct impact near Tampa Bay, raising concerns about significant storm surge, reminiscent of Hurricane Ian’s devastation in 2022. The area has not faced a major hurricane since 1921. Additional storms, including Hurricane Kirk and Leslie, are being monitored, with another system potentially developing from Africa next week.
