Venezuelan gang members tied up Dallas woman during robbery, docs say
SUMMARY: Court documents reveal that five men arrested for beating and robbing a Dallas woman last month are linked to a Venezuelan street gang. Four suspects are now in custody after one provided names and an address to police. The robbery occurred on September 21, when the woman was forced into her home at gunpoint, assaulted, and tied up. The suspects stole jewelry valued at $775,000. A fingerprint led to Manuel Hernandez, 28, who admitted involvement and named accomplices. Three suspects were arrested following a SWAT standoff, and all face immigration holds. The investigation continues.
After Manuel Hernandez-Hernandez was arrested, he told Dallas Police that the other men were a part of the El Anti-Tren criminal street gang.

Tropical update: Area in Gulf now has 70% chance for development
SUMMARY: Currently, a system in the Gulf is likely to develop into Tropical Storm Milton, possibly reaching Category 1 hurricane status by early next week. While the statistical peak of the hurricane season was on September 10th, October can still be active. Kirk and Leslie are already present in the Atlantic, with neither threatening the U.S. The Gulf development is expected to impact Florida more significantly, bringing rain and possible strong winds. Houston, meanwhile, will experience minimal impacts and drier air mid-week following this system’s passage. Keep an eye on updates as conditions evolve over the weekend.
Chief meteorologist David Paul is tracking what could soon be Tropical Storm Milton.
