SUMMARY: The Kentucky Department of Education has released the 2023-2024 school year assessment data, showing notable progress for Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS). For the first time since 2018, no FCPS school received the lowest federal rating. The number of schools needing targeted support has decreased from 34 to 12, primarily focusing on special education and English language learners. There have also been increases in proficient test scores, particularly a 3% rise in middle school reading and a 7% in math.
