Following recent arrests of kids for malicious pranks such as egging houses, setting off fireworks, and breaking windows, the department emphasized that seemingly harmless acts could lead to criminal charges and significant repair costs. Damages can exceed $1,000 for broken headlights or extensive body work due to vandalism. Officers urge parents to discuss the consequences of such actions with their children, especially during high-prank seasons like Halloween and homecoming.
